When your knit is finished, it’s important that you wash it. This helps the wool fibers relax after being bent and twisted in every possible direction, creating more even stitches and a neater overall appearance.

Soak the sweater in lukewarm water with wool detergent, making sure it’s fully submerged. Let it sit for 15 - 20 minutes. Afterward, you can either roll it in a towel to press out the excess water or spin it in the washing machine on a low setting (I use 400 rpm). Finally, lay it flat on a towel to dry - make sure it’s properly spread out and avoid stretching it too much, as wet wool is very delicate and can easily be pulled out of shape. Move gently!

Once the knit is dry, it’s ready to wear!
